Yang bisa gw simpulin adalah, begitu banyak hal lain yang bisa kami bahas diluar SARIP. Banyak banget.

Secara perlahan, gw dan teman-teman merubah cara berpikir kami. Harapan gw, seperti kelompok kecil kami inilah harusnya orang kita (Indonesian) berpikir. Entah sudah kemana “Bhinneka Tunggal Eka” yang dipelajari selama di sekolahan. Jujur aja, gw bangga, gw ngubah diri gw sendiri terlebih dulu.

Hal kecil untuk perubahan yang besar. Bukan sebaliknya, perubahan besar untuk hal kecil.

Trus, hal hal berbau agama begini, emang paling enak dibahas dan naikin popularitas.
Dan gw yakin, semua ini pasti permainan media. Udah ada golongan yang bermain di balik ini. Konspirasi.

Btw, yutub kena ‘ancaman serius’ juga ga?

You have not seen the film and, let me tell you something, it is not even worth watching. Actually, there is nothing to be worried about. Even people with average level of intelligence should be able to recognize the stupidness of it.

About FPI, this afternoon, I found one blog http://rimafauzi.blogspot.com/2008/04/fpi-urging-indonesian-government-to.html mentioning FPI’s demand for severer diplomatic relationship with Dutch. It is also mentioned there that one of interviewed FPI members admitted that he had not even watched it. :D Is there any laugh-on-the-floor emoticon?

to be honest, i haven’t seen the movie yet for my very low speed internet connection :p can’t even afford youtube (what can i do) and … well, just like adite said, this is no longer a brand new thing in the history of islam. so actually i’m not recently interested in. yes i believe in my religion with all of my soul and i would do anything to reserve its honor, but this thing is too much nauseating to even look at. i feel satisfied reading about this on leading newspapers

above all, i see that in the both side of this case they had such over-generalizing assumption increasing into super-sensitive suspicion. the film maker over-generalize things regarded as faith in islam and (particular, though) people over-generalize the country where the film came from. disproportional action and reaction (wait up, action-reaction? am i talking physics? :p nvm)

incidentally i wonder how the “combating” film would be, would it present its clarification peacefully or in the contrary … agitatedly, generally recognized as “fundamentalist” style?

however, actually the real islamic response should not be that rough kind. yes islam teach us about war, but the war exists due to the reason of preserving nobility. if we must kill human being (for an extreme example), we don’t involve our emotion. there was a history in the age of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), a man fighting in a war canceled his killing action after the enemy spitted on him. such a huge humiliation, but surprisingly he took his sword back, and left away. before he go, the enemy asked him why. the enemy wondered why the man did not kill him for the enemy was no longer got his strength at all, and actually he was so close to be executed. briefly, the muslim man answered calmly, “yes i have intended to kill you, but if i kill you after you spitted on me, it means i kill you due to my personal sentiment, out of the pure aim of my religion.”

i thank for your sympathy for our religion. yes, smart people know exactly which one went wrong and know exactly how to overcome

i saw one of the blog audience wondering about fpi, well it is also my confusion about their publicized actions, why is it so reactive at so many points. however i saw it from a view that they are perhaps just a different color of islamic society. i watched a talkshow presented by shanaz haque in tvri quite long ago, with the leader of fpi as interviewee, a man whose first name is habib, and i see that in spite of his ‘a-bit-too-courageous’ talking style, basically he could converse in such a dialogue cooperatively, well that’s what i saw
