On Fitna The Movie
Geert Wilders, Dutch far-right politician from conservative Party for Freedom, became increasingly well-known among Muslims population worldwide. His self-made short film, Fitna, was deplored and condemned widely, be it by Muslims or Christians.
Form of reactions prior to the release of this film could be found here. I found one funny reaction from Kurt Westergaard, Danish cartoonist who drew Prophet Muhammad wearing bomb as his turban. Using Westergaard’s cartoon in Fitna, Wilders would be sued for copyright infringement. Liveleak, Dutch video website, was the first to show this film and eventually removed it after its staffs received serious threats from unknown persons. (more…)
